I like this place. I'm here right now on their free wi-if. The place looks really cool and the yogurt is delicious. I just wish the lady handed me the sample cup for me to fill on my own and didn't fill it for me with her fingers touching all over it. Other than that, though, good place!

This was a must go to on my yearly visit to Daytona. I have now tried a few other froyo places in Daytona and I have to say this place is in 1st. The flavors are much better, service is much better and just the overall beachy atmosphere. Also I like the fact that when you throw your cup away there is a place to recycle the spoons which I didn't see at any other places. I'd say out of the all the places their peanut butter is the best!

I work up the street from here and discovered this place on my lunch hour walk. This is now my favorite place. I love frozen yogurt and rhokkos has the best I've ever tasted. It's smooth and creamy and the flavors really taste like their names. Love that they offer a punch card. Very friendly owners and staff. Walked me through the process on my first visit. Also gave me a little background history of the shop. Check this place out.....you won't regret it.

This is a fun place to stop at the north end of downtown walking/shopping. Nice frozen yogurt and soft serve that you can add a large array of items to. Be careful since it is all done by weight it can add up quick. It is dog friendly with a dog beg and water bowl for your pet.

Update: Someone named "Tom M." (I'm assuming that's the owner since his yelp profile only has the one review, which is of Rhokkoh's) sent me a "compliment" that was actually an attempt to rebuke my original review (see below) entitled "Beware the lychee!" So in response to that, I have to tell you, Tom, that you gave me quite the giggle. Not only is your grammar and spelling laughable in its buffoonery, but your argument is equal in its simplicity. You served rotten food. I reviewed you based on eating said rotten food. You're (that's how you spell the contraction of you are) lucky we didn't get food poisoning. The smart business owner's response would have been to apologize and promise to do better next time. Original review: Beware the lychee! Unless you like making fermented fruit wine. Went in tonight for a special treat and got our usual sugar free strawberry swirled with vanilla and topped with kiwis, mochi, and the now tainted lychee. Hubby took a bite of lychee and made a face, but swallowed it whole. I tried it and had to spit it right out. Bleh! Totally rotten. Called and told the girl at the counter, who was very nice, but nonetheless, that was our last visit. Here's to hoping we don't get sick!

One of the brightest, cleanest and best tasting frozen yogurt places. A great variety of flavors and toppings. They also have buy 10 get one free card. I love how they are making the area so much better. They have lots of space and great for groups. Don't sleep on this place. :)

Great fro yo joint! They have cool toppings I hadn't seen before, like cupcake bites and whoppers. The girl working the register was sweet and went out of her way to hold a conversation with us about our trip to FL. They also have a dog theme, kinda? Very unique place; I would return if I wanted more fro yo.

They've created a hot dog bar in the back. Warning! Health Department bad. Great concept, poor execution. Choice dogs on a 7-11 type roller at lukewarm.... or option 2, blubbery over-boiled dogs in gray foamy water. Hot kraut bin burned the kraut so they removed it. Cheese and chili in another 7-11 type dispenser that doesn't get cleaned often or well. Condiments bar with many choices. The mustard pump doesn't pump. Room and food is not under supervision. You're on your own to fix and bring out to register for $3. I kept condiments to a minimum. When I brought out to pay, there's the owner with his dog in the frozen yogurt portion of the place. He's oblivious that his dog is licking off a table and someone's cup. There's dog lover and there's unsanitary. I was food poisoned for five hours after this stop. Don't know when I can eat a hot dog again. Bad bad news. (place was empty at supper hour, has a trendy vibe-look but no customers was pretty awkward for all the high reviews here.)

Friendly service and dog lovers! They tempt you with a cup that is more the size of a bowl. Then there are flavors such as cheesecake, red velvet, chocolate, vanilla, fruity sherbet. And for peanut butter lovers out there, there's a flavor for that too. Then you move onto the next spot where you can add things like Syrup and flavoring. There is also different types of nuts and sprinkles. Cookie toppings, Gummi bear toppings, chocolate chip, or if you are behaving then there are also fruit toppings. Then comes the drumroll when you put your final creation on the scale and they ring you up...... Something nice and light to go after your meal or a nice stroll along the street. Plenty of seating indoors and magazines to flip through and slideshow of adorable dogs! I love how they have a spot where you can hook up your dog and enjoy your frozen yogurt outside. They have about two tables outside where you can enjoy your treat.

This is a great froyo place! They have good flavors and lots of topping choices. Definitely the best froyo place in Daytona.

This is a frozen yogurt place. They have non dairy options and several toppings. There is not much to screw up. The girl working was supper friendly and came out from behind the register to offer sample cups! We live close so we will be back!

Delicious! I love this place and the inside is very chic and clean. Good service and location and great toppings I love all the flavors, if your a fruit person try the tropical sorbet, the only thing is that I wish they had coconut flavor

The frozen yogurt here is delicious! After stuffing ourselves at Tia Cori's next door (also a 5-star joint), my girlfriend and I headed to Rhokkoh's for some frozen yogurt. We've seen the place plenty of times but never have been. Wow this place was awesome! First, I gotta say, the decor is crazy cool. This place looks like it's straight out of South Beach, super cool atmosphere inside. Also, they have dog water bowls outside and hooks on the wall you can attach the leash to so they are pet friendly. They let you fill your own cup up from one of the 20-odd machines on the wall and add whatever toppings you want from a selection of 20 or so chocolates, candies, and fresh fruit. I got a non-fat pomegranate yogurt with fresh blackberries and kiwi. It was really good! They weigh by the pound. It's not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for (in a good way). Plus, it's still cheaper (and way better for you) than Cold Stone or places like that. Definitely will be back!

Awesome Place! Nice owners and great frozen yogurt! The place is trendy, clean and fun. They are right next to Tia Cori's Tacos on the corner of Beach and Bay Streets. The kids love it and so do mom and dad =) So glad to have this business as a new addition to downtown Daytona Beach.

Pros - nice inside, comfy chairs, decent flavors....that's about where the Pros end. Cons - No sample cups out. Really? You have to ask the snooty cashier for a sample, who huffs and puffs and rolls her eyes as she comes out from behind the counter to lift the lever. All the other 10+ yogurt shops in town have sample cups out for the customers to help themselves. Cons continued - One Sunday, my honey and I decided to visit for an afternoon yogurt. It was 2:50pm and we didn't realize they don't open 'til 3pm on Sundays. We figured that stores who ARE open on a Sunday, open at least by noon, but not the case. (Gives you a hint to the type of brilliant business decision making that goes on at Rhokkoh's). I digress. The snooty cashier had the door open and had just put the last of the tables & chairs outside. She said, "We aren't open, you've got to wait another 10 minutes", and shut the door in our face. Here's employee training 101 - satsify the customer. Let me give you an example of what you could have said, "Sorry we aren't open just yet, but you are welcome to wait inside (out of the heat) for a few minutes while I turn on the register (since the yogurt freezers are obviously already on). So instead we drove to Time Out Frozen Yogurt in Ormond and enjoyed all the free samples we wanted without snooty looks! I love Downtown Daytona. I love supporting the local businesses such as Avocado Kitchen, Angel & Phellps, Zen Bistro, and Tia Cories. But unfortunately my yogurt needs will be met by Time Out and High Fives in Port Orange.

Pretty good fro yo. The decor looks like what we thought the future was going to look like back in 1987. The for yo is good, they all tastes the same to me anyhow. Maybe I'm not an expert, whatever. I like all the magazines laying around for us to read. The sample issue : WTF already its yogurt. You know what it tastes like. It's yogurt, it's cold, and it's sweet. If you want a sample just squirt some on the side of your bowl and you'll know what it tastes like. Quit acting like such a cheap ass. If you want free samples go to Sam's Club. Imagine how many jerks come in and ask for samples of every flavor and then buy 70 cents worth. How can you make any money doing that?

  • Kim W.

We stopped in today and we were disappointed. It seems like it went downhill from our last vist. The flavors are not true, the toppings are few and not flavorful and they won't even let you get your own samples. That is what pissed me off the most. I am not 5 years old. I'm not going to stand there and make a pile of yogurt, on the floor. The whole experience was not up-to- par. There are much better places in Central Florida.

This place is SOOOO COOOL! The owner is AWESOME, and he is such a dog lover. Rhokkoh is his pride and joy doggie, and it inspires the dog lover in all of us. Now, about the yogurt - over 6 flavors, its a self serve the cold stuff and toppings and pay by the weight. So mix to your hearts content!

I simply love this place. Great choices in the variety. Taste is very similar to Pinkberry. It's about time that Daytona/Ormond area has a healthy option for yogurt/custard/ice cream. The selection of the toppings is excellent. A lot of these places normally suffer from having a sufficient fruit toppings and even when they have them they are normally borderline rotten. Rhokkoh's has a lot of fresh berries and fruit in addition to their dry toppings (granola, sprinkles, nuts, cereals, etc.). The ambient is very hip and warm. Try the peanut butter, Red Velvet, California Tart, and blueberry. Can't wait for new flavors with the season change.

I found this place during a recent trip. The owner is very friendly as are his dogs that sit outside the shop. Yogurt and toppings were super.

Fantastic! On vacation we were looking for a fro yo place and were ecstatic to find this place. Self serve which is always great and a good topping bar. Seeing "Rhokkoh" the Ridgeback was by far my favorite part! Owner was very nice and being a dog lover, just seeing water bowls out front made made me love the place. Very cute inside and good amount of flavors/toppings to choose from. We drove all the way down from Ormond and was worth every mile!

I love this place. This was the second time and tried the new red velvet flavor....omg, it is sooo yummy! I'm going to try to make a point to go once a week so I can try all the flavors! Nice and clean, owners are friendly, the view is great!

The interior is bad-ass. That place just looks fancy. And i'm not going to lie, I was impressed... Until I tasted the product, it was chalky.(maybe powder fro yo) They do not allow for sample cups, which sucks because I they've got a ton of flavors I haven't had before. The staff was okay. Not too friendly, but not really rude either. I didn't really feel too welcome. They are also on the higher priced end of the Fro Yo business, and they grab the spoons from behind the count and stick them in your cup, which to me is a little gross. I kind of just want to get my own spoon, with out someone touching it for me... They do have whole almonds, and some other pretty cool toppings. They also have the new digital fro yo machines, so that was sweet,

Great little place! It's refreshing change of pace for this little small town. They have a wide variety of flavors and tons of toppings, including lots of fresh fruit. The best is the Boba, it's like if a mango made love to an orange. They are little balls that when you bite they squirt! And if you are a dog lover you will appreciate the decor and laid back attitude. The staff is friendly and the owner is always there and makes a point to greet all the customers. I really hope it sticks around. It's nice to have dessert and not feel guilty after eating!

I thought this place was great the decor is sort of old sort of retro. I thought the frozen yogurt was good and the fruits are fresh and they give you a variety of stuff to put on your frozen yogurt like gummy bears chocolate etc. but I did not like the gummy bears they were really hard. once you get everything you put it on the scale and they weigh it down it is sort of expensive though. The people who work there are SUPER nice.

Pros: product was tasty. Some better some not as good but that's anyplace. The fruit was fresh. (not frozen that had been thawed) There were lots of toppings, some unique. (lychee!) The decor was perfect and loved the doggie-centric theme. Well the cons. I needed to know if there were peanut products in the chocolate (as vanilla was sugar free). The girl behind the counter was nice enough, but couldn't find the ingredients for the chocolate. (a pretty common flavor) She is quickly flipping through the pages and stops on cookies and cream and says there are no peanut products in it so chocolate should be OK too. Well, that is not good enough when you have a peanut allergy. I wasn't going to risk it on my very young daughter. I asked if I could look through the recipes she did have so I could find a flavor they had that day that she would and could eat. She politely obliged me and I found the mango to be OK. I did notice that the first ingredient in the yogurt was high fructose corn syrup which I though was odd since the place was very health oriented. And so you know, I am not the type of person that thinks you have to accommodate every diet. You can smear your employees in peanut butter and I won't be pissed off, I just can't bring my daughter there. I just think that as a business you should be able to provide nutritional information especially if it can send someone to the hospital. I also thought it odd that it seemed that tasting was discouraged. I realize that there are always people who will abuse this, and I was happy with my choice, but I would have liked to taste a couple before making my decision. The tasting cups were behind the counter, and when one of my group asked for one, it seemed frowned upon and the employee quickly disappeared before anyone else could ask. The place close to my house, leaves the cups on the counter so you can sample before you buy. I like that and have found a few flavors that I love that I wouldn't have thought I would have liked. Perhaps sampling isn't the norm, but it is appreciated Bottom line, yes will be back. I enjoyed my white chocolate very much.

This is the best frozen yogurt I have ever had!! It is light and creamy and the flavors are always changing so you can try something new each time you go in. The decor is super trendy and it is fun to eat your ice cream there because the chairs are comfy and one of a kind. I have enjoyed Rhokkoh's 3 times this week and plan on going back for more tomorrow!!!

Cool! I like the atmosphere here. You can sit and enjoy your yougurt without feeling rushed or cramped. There is a good variety of flavors too! There are plenty of toppings to choose from and you'll be glad you stopped by. Some may feel that it is a bit pricy compared to some competitors.

Absolutely amazing! Talked with the owners the other day (both local folks, not a chain!) they are so cool. talked about the health benefits of the yogurt they buy, how they buy everything locally when they can...they even spend more on the cups and spoons so they can all be recycled! and we love the local pet theme! They have a TV that just scrolls pics of people's local pets. Last we heard they are working with the city to open a dog park near by! Highly Recommend. Several other TVs around for sports/news whatever (came in handy while we were there during college football for my friend's kid's bday..ha)

Likes: Yogurt and toppings were fresh and stocked! These places are the new small business/franchise trend and it is amazing how many neglect their product. How hard could it be with such a low maintenance setup? Not a problem here. Modern/contemporary decor and cleanliness. Good location. Dislikes: Extra charge for using credit/debit card. This is a cost of modern business. The acceptance of credit cards is mutually beneficial to both business and consumer. If business doesn't accept them many people will go elsewhere. Business can't be robbed of credit card payments. Employees can 't pocket credit card payments. Etc. etc. Especially in a tourist location, smart travelers don't carry lots of cash. No sample offered until requested. Even then, employee brought cups around counter and asked what we wanted to sample instead of handing us the small paper sample cups. This isn't necessarily wrong, but it is not how it is done at every similar place we have visited, and it just feels cheap, kind of like paying extra for using a credit/debit card. For the price of the product (more than we've seen elsewhere) it shouldn't feel that way. Employee unfamiliarity with business's promotion. We received a glossy card/flyer for 10% off, but received a blank stare when we asked to use it. "Oh really" was the response when I advised the cashier that it was a coupon for 10% off. Nevertheless, the coupon was accepted. Bottom line: It is always distasteful when a business owner or manager seems to make things personal regarding customer criticism. The response to a previous review is concerning, and I wonder how the reviewer was identified by the owner/manager. Nevertheless, we would visit Rhokkoh's again. This review is being submitted for the purpose for which such reviews should be used - informing consumers and providing the business with honest feedback. Use it or lose it, I'm at no loss either way. Enjoy!

Rhokkoh's has a cute and funky atmosphere, perfect for create-your-own froyo! They always have great flavors, even when they change them, and plenty of topping options. They even went the extra mile and were certified as glatt kosher, which, although I do not practice keeping kosher, I was really impressed with as Ormond has a large Orthodox Jewish Community. On top of everything, the owners are passionate animal lovers and support local shelters/adoption facilities by posting information throughout the shop. I love taking my daughter here and knowing Daytona has such a fun local spot to cool off at!

There is no finer yogurt anywhere! The restaurant is as clean as can be and very comfortable. The yogurt is absolutely incredible! Their toppings are always fresh and pleantiful. We love this place and stop by nearly every Saturday after we eat at the Daytona Diner. Its a very enjoyable experience!
